Max Ochester is the owner of Brewerytown Beats — a local record store that has been open at 2710 W. Girard Ave. for nine months. Ochester’s business used to be around the corner and a few blocks down from his current location, but he moved to the main business corridor on West Girard Avenue.

Ochester has been collecting records since the age of 14. Since settling in Brewerytown, his collection has grown on a much larger scale. Today you can find any genre of music in Brewerytown Beats.

On what it’s like to be part of Brewerytown expanding business corridor,

“The businesses here all help each other and we all know each other, but I think there are still too many empty places,” Ochester said. “… I see it happening in another two years.”
