Fishtown Pop-Beer Garden Set to Call Heffe Home… Well, That Doesn’t Suck

At a tense point in time where pop-up beer gardens and state officials don’t exactly mix and mingle, Fishtown will be getting a lucky break — Heffe, the taco shop with the apt tagline “Taco’s [sic] that don’t suck!” will be home to the neighborhood’s first and only pop-up beer garden of the season. The beer garden opens tonight, with the acclaimed chef Peter McAndrews in attendance representing Heffe.Heffe Beer Garden

The unconventional taco joint will be hosting a “Taco Brawl” at the pop up garden, which will continue Thursday nights from 6 PM to 11 PM, Friday and Saturday from 2 PM to 12 AM, and Sundays from 12 noon-10 PM. According to a press release, “These events will be held daily until the end of the summer season.”Heffe Beer Garden

Heffe offers a wide variety of options, with taco recipes like The Kraken, which Spirit News previously reported on. The Kraken is a combo of “fried octopus, mexican cheese, chimichurri, spicy tomato jam and queso fresco.” Other unconventional options are abundant, with ingredients like calve’s tongue and combinations like waffle fries, chili, and egg (Tijuana Poutine).
