Olive Prince Dance Premieres Exciting New Show

Olive Prince Dance will be premiering their original show Of our Remnants on September 9 and 10 at 7:30 pm and September 12 at 4 and 7:30 pm at the Iron Factory in Kensington. Of our Remnants explores the bits and pieces, both literal and metaphorical, that get left behind. Choreographer and dance artist Olive Prince collaborated with visual artist and writer Carrie Powell and design artist Kaitlin Chow to create the show.

A large part of the performance’s effect occurs when the dancers and audience coexist in the same environment. The choreography for the show was created with the setting and context in mind. Of our Remnants was created during a 3-month internship at the Iron Factory, a renovated community arts space.

“…I was witnessing a very personal statement, but simultaneously having my own personal experiences evoked, thereby finding my OWN meaning in it all,”

said someone who attended an early show in a press release. Tickets can be purchased at the Iron Factory at 118 Fontain Street and are $20, $15 for students and artists. The performance is part of Fringe Fest. Space is paramount so tickets are limited to 40.
