Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man who burglarized Ventura Groceries (658 E. Hilton St.) in Kensington.

The suspect entered the building around 5:50 AM on Sunday, September 27 by breaking a hole in the roof. Once inside, he stole an undetermined amount of cash from the register, multiple cartons of cigarettes and SEPTA tokens. He attempted to break into the store’s ATM but failed. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man with a thin build, mustache and long hair.
