Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed a cashier while wielding a 2×4 in Kensington.

The robbery occurred on August 3 around 12:35 PM at Lee’s Food Cart at 2401 N Front. St. A man entered the store, picked up a 2×4 and used it to threaten the a cashier. The suspect then jumped behind the counter and took an unknown amount of cash before fleeing on foot. He was last seen heading North on Front Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 30 years old, medium build, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and a silver watch on his left wrist. If you have information about the suspect, call 215.686.TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847.
