Square Framed Spectacle Wearing Suspect Looking For Girlfriend Rapes 51 Year-old Woman, Leaves Her Naked In Street


Monday night in Kensington, a man allegedly walked up to a 51-year-old woman and told her he was “looking for his girlfriend.”

After the man realized the woman wasn’t his girlfriend, he then physically assaulted her, forced her into an alley, stripped her naked, raped her, took her clothes and fled, leaving her naked on the street.

Police need your help finding the black male suspect who reportedly stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall, has a medium build and appears to be in his early 30s. He was last seen wearing red sweatpants, a white t-shirt and black square framed spectacles.

The crime took place on the 1100 block of E. Venango St. in Kensington. According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s crime mapping tool, there have been 37 reported rapes in North Kensington over the past six months alone.

Police reported 1,145 rapes in Philadelphia during 2014. That’s about 3.13 reported rapes per day.

Several weeks ago there were three murders in two days.
