Martha Comes to Kensington

Kensington will be getting a new bar at the corner of York and Martha Streets. Martha, a collaborative effort consisting of Fishtown developers Cary Borish and Michael  Parsell and Khyber Pass veteran Jon Medlinsky, will soon reside inside a building that was once part of the Weisbrod and Hess brewery complex.

Once finished, the bar will feature a fireplace, a guest-operated record player, balcony and patio seating and a bocce ball court. The bar will also feature veggie plates, charcuterie, homemade pickles and hoagies. That’s right—hoagies.

The bar will boast 24 taps offering sour and hoppy beers, wines, draft cocktails as well some non-alcoholic items like kombucha, kefir and nitro coffee.

An opening date has not been announced yet, but expect it sometime early next year. You can follow them on Instagram for fun photos and more information.
