Honeygrow: Healthy Eatery Coming to Temple’s Campus

According to a recent Philly.com article, Temple’s campus food scene, which is usually dominated by food trucks and halal stands, will see the addition of Honeygrow — a restaurant offering healthy stir-fry, salads and smoothies — next fall.

Honeygrow’s Temple location will be located in one of the campus’s residence halls, Morgan Hall, on the corner of Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Honeygrow’s founder and CEO graduated from Temple’s Fox School of Business with a Fox Global MBA in 2009. He said he wrote a portion of Honeygrow’s business plan during his time at Temple.

Honeygrow, which was founded in 2012, now has seven locations, including locations in West Philly, New Jersey and Delaware. The company also plans on opening nine more locations by the end of 2016.

To provide a space to train new employees and create new sauces and dressings for this expanding business, Honeygrow will move its headquarters to Fishtown. Richard Stokes Architecture has designed an 18,000 square feet facility for Honeygrow’s use on Front Street at Oxford.

Honeygrow will also be joining two new eateries, Blaze Pizza and Crisp Kitchen, that have recently called Temple its new home.
