Impending Snowstorm Affects Trash & Recycling Pickup

Trash & Recycling Pickup CANCELED
According to the Philadelphia Streets Department website residents whose normal collection day is Friday must hold all trash and recycling until next Friday, January 29 because of the impending snowstorm.
Also, City law requires sidewalks be cleared to a width of 3 feet, within 6 hours of the end of snow. As a practical matter, that means everyone should try to have sidewalks cleared by sundown Sunday if possible.
Philadelphia Police Department reminded us of this with their “no savesies” public service announcement earlier this week. The video features a re-worked version of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” music video.
