Last Chance for you to Decide on New Mural

Last month The Spirit wrote an article about the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union (PCFU) and The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program partnering together to bring Philadelphia a new mural in the Fishtown/East Kensington area. Members of the community have been encouraged to help select the mural design by voting, either in person at the PCFU’s Fishtown branch (during regular hours), or digitally here. The voting will finish tomorrow Friday, October 16 and the winner will be selected and announced the week of October 19.

The winning artist(s) will begin the mural making process early next Spring. Opportunities for the community to take part in the process will be there for every step along the way.  PFCU will announce community paint days where neighbors, members, friends and family can all help to put their mark on the mural.

The finished mural will be unveiled next May during the 2016 Philadelphia Federal Credit Union Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby & Arts Festival.

Here are the three finalist’s designs that you still have time to vote on.
