Marky Mark Wahlberg Comes to NoLibs to Promote Burger Joint
Marky Mark (or Mark Wahlberg for those of you born after 1994) was in Northern Liberties promoting his family-owned burger joint, Wahlburgers, today. The mega-star and convicted felon was serving hamburgers from a pop up food truck outside the old Darlings Diner in the Piazza.

According to PhillyChitChat, Wahlburgers, the Boston-based burger chain owned by Paul Wahlberg in partnership with his more famous brothers Mark and Donnie, is set to open a Philly location. It was originally reported that the burger joint would be opening in Rittenhouse Square but new rumors have placed the restaurant at The Piazza in Northern Liberties. Seeing this pop up food truck in the neighborhood today backs this up.
Marky Mark, who is in town this week to prepare for Saturday’s Festival of Families, wasn’t in the food truck once The Spirit arrived to the scene, but soon reappeared as he exited the front entrance of the building formerly known as Darling’s. He was surround by a camera crew and security entourage, who were speaking in strange Bostonian tongues.
Marky Mark took a few photos with fans before entering a white SUV, which looked like a cross between OJ’s getaway Bronco and the what the Pope will probably be driving around in this weekend.
So Marky Mark just exited out of the old Darlings building, entered this white jeep and bounced. #NoLibs pic.twitter.com/OIYQ0eipzf

Could Marky Mark be breaking in the pope-mobile for Francis? Who knows. If you want to find out, the GMC Yukon’s tags are JXY-2550 so if you see it riding around town, be sure to chase after it singing Good Vibrations over and over again. There’s only a slight chance you’ll get whacked by a large stick.
The Spirit was planning on trying a Wahlburger out in hopes that it would be served by Vince Papale… err, I mean Marky Mark himself. But after he left, so did we.
We were going to try a burger in an attempt to meet Marky Mark, but don't really care anymore now that he's gone. Just being honest.
