No-kill Shelter Comes to Fishtown

After careers in journalism and public relations Jerry Buckley has found his new calling as an animal activist. Buckley has been the CEO of PSPCA  (Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) for three years and is planning on opening a satellite office in Fishtown at 1546 Frankford Ave. He is excited about the possibilities that a new animal shelter in a different part of the city will bring.

“It’s a place of hope, because we are a no-kill shelter with animals looking for forever homes. At Fishtown, we will have a smaller number of animals, but it’s a branding site for everything we do. We’ll have flat-screen TVs advertising all the animals available for adoption at Erie Avenue.

The branch is planning on opening sometime next month.
