PennDOT Invites Homeowners to Vote on Noise Barrier Designs in Fishtown

I-95 Girard Avenue Interchange Noise Barrier Design

You can vote on what the barriers should look like.

PennDOT is constructing noise barriers along the new southbound side of I-95 between Allegheny Avenue and Palmer Street (Phase 4, or Section GR4 of the Girard Avenue Interchange project). The noise barriers are planned to be built from Indiana Avenue in Port Richmond to Palmer Street in Fishtown. Residents who live within the designated areas below are encouraged to vote on their aesthetic design.

If you own property near I-95 that is located within the area outlined in red on either of the above maps, please complete a survey to vote for your favorite design. Please complete only one ballot for each property you own.  Sign the survey and return it by December 31, 2015 to PennDOT at the address shown on the survey form. You can download a survey here or request a copy by contacting Marian.Hull@aecom.com (215.606.0413).

For more information about highway noise mitigation for the Girard Avenue Interchange Project, and to see what each option will look like when constructed, please click here to view the presentation that was provided at the November 2015 noise meetings.
