The first craft distillery in Philadelphia since Prohibition days will be coming to Fishtown in October. Philadelphia Distilling, the makers of Bluecoat Gin, will move a large portion of their operations into the former Ajax Metal Co. building now known as Penn Treaty Village.
This is a game changer. This will pole vault us from a small craft distillery to one with presence and exposure.
The company will continue to rent space at their current location in Northeast Philadelphia once the move takes place, which will be used for storage, inventory, and assembly purposes once they are settled in at 1000 Frankford Ave. The new location will boast a tasting room, an event space, a retail shop, a restaurant and a cocktail bar. They will also regularly offer tastings and guided tours.
