Register For PSPCA Fishtown’s DIY Craft Night for Pets

As part of the Fishtown Speakers Series, the Pennsylvania SPCA (PSPCA) will be hosting DIY Craft Night for Pets on Tuesday, March 22 at 7PM. The event will be held at the PSPCA Fishtown Center at 1546 Frankford Avenue.

Participants will be able to make fun, harmless toys for their pets out of common household items such as tennis balls and pipe cleaners. Manager of Outreach and Humane Education Mandy Hood will be leading the group in its endeavors.

“We are looking forward to hosting [this event],” said PSPCA Director of Public Relations and Marketing Gillian Kocher. “This event gives us the opportunity to reach people in the community, and help them to learn not only what the PSCPA does to protect animals and improve their quality of life, but also provides tips of how to make their pets happy and healthier. We encourage anyone who loves animals to sign up!”

The event is free, but seating is limited. You can register here.

The Fishtown Speakers Series, which operates via the Humane Education Outreach Program, seeks to unite members of the community as well as educate and enlighten workshop participants on the needs and welfare of their beloved pets.

The PSPCA is a privately funded, no-kill organization with three locations and more than 100 employees. The PSPCA adopts more than 5000 animals each year. Its corporate office is located at 350 East Erie Avenue.
