Rock to the Future Student Invited to Exclusive Workshop

16-year-old Lily McAndrew has been invited to the exclusive Crown of the Continent Guitar Festival and Workshop in Bigfork, Montana by the D’Addario Foundation. McAndrew is a student at the Kensington-based Rock to the Future. Crown of the Continent is an invitation-only event that only accepts around 80 students into the program each year.

“I’m really excited about winning the scholarship and feel privileged to work with such experienced musicians. I hope to be a full-time musician one day, and I can’t wait to learn more skills to make that dream a reality,” McAndrew said in a press release.

McAndrew was selected for her dedication to pursuing music as a career alongside her formidable musical talent. Alongside her time as lead guitarist and songwriter for her band Big Neon Spoons McAndrew spends time volunteering at community summer camps helping younger students learn to play guitar. Wondering what her music sounds like? Check out this short video on Rock to the Future’s Instagram.
