Officials will hold a topping-off ceremony at SugarHouse Casino tomorrow morning in honor of nearing the completion of an expansion that will increase their floorspace from 108,000 to 260,000 square feet. The expansion also includes a 600,000 square foot parking garage.
SugarHouse will gain 44 table games, 289 new slots, and a 28-person poker table in the expansion. They will be also be adding more restaurants and 30,000 square feet of event space. The project is expected to generate about 500 new jobs and will result in $1 million for the Penn Treaty Special Services District for economic development in the surrounding neighborhoods. The expansion began last July.
