Three Seconds Casting Locals, Filming in Port Richmond

Three Seconds, a prison thriller based off the best-selling novel from Scandinavian authors Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom, is looking for Philadelphians to act in the film. The casting is being handled by local casting company Heery Casting. The company is considering a wide variety of people. Applications are accepted from men and women, age 18-65, all ethnicities, and both SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent.

Although it is difficult to find specific details, Facebook chatter suggests that the film is expected to start filming in the Port Richmond area sometime in early September. Heery’s post about casting for the film specifies that they need lots of latino and black talent, but Facebook posts suggest that they are also specifically seeking out some Polish-American locals.

The film is being directed by Otto Bathurst, known best for his work directing episodes of the show Peaky Blinders. Along with some Philadelphian talent the film will also feature the acting of Luke Evans, David Oyelowo, and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The film does not yet have a set release date.
