Accu-Reggie: Hyperlocal Weather Outlook and Forecast (9/2-9/8)

This past week delivered a beautiful stretch of summer weather and we remained almost completely dry as expected. I harped a little on the dryness last week but we’ve been REALLY dry around here! The 0.98 inches of rainfall we received in August is so low that it’s typical of the monthly rainfall of a desert area like Phoenix! So, if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live in a desert, you basically have been living in one!

I thought we might be able to squeeze some rain out from Tropical Storm Erika as it went by to our south but that storm fizzled. Great.

This week looks dry like last week, with only a couple small chances for rain on Friday and Tuesday. Once again, I’m not impressed with the chances but you can keep the umbrella handy just in case.

This week’s weather forecast.

Wednesday and Thursday kick off the week with hot temperatures; both days will feature 90+ heat. Summer continues.

Friday we break the heat but there is a chance for an afternoon shower.

Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are warm with clouds around but none producing rain.

Tuesday we touch the 90s again with the chance for an evening T-storm or rain shower.

The weather winner of the week is Saturday; the weather loser is Wednesday.
