On Wednesday evening bystanders and SEPTA police rescued a man who walked off the El platform and onto the subway tracks below.

The incident, which was caught on SEPTA camera footage, shows the man at the Somerset station.

SEPTA spokeswoman Heather Redfern told Metro she didn’t know the man’s name or age but that,

“when he went into the track area, the power was still on.”

The unidentified man reportedly suffered cuts and bruises as well as an injury to his knee.

The Sprit reached out to SEPTA spokesperson Jerri Williams and asked if they were aware of the man being on any drugs and we were told:

You’ll have to make the [decision] from your own observations.

Williams also added that she was not aware of the man being cited for being under the influence.
