Spirit News spoke with 26th district Sgt. John Massi about what this ceremony means to the officers and the community.

Having an event that brings the community and police together, in an atmosphere that’s relaxed and enjoyable, breaks down the barriers and shows people that we are more alike than we think,” Sgt. Massi said. “I’m proud that representatives from each community came to show support. It also helps the 26th PDAC raise the crucial funds needed to promote our mission throughout the year.”
