Accu-Reggie: Hyperlocal Weather Outlook and Forecast (8/26-9/1)

Minus a couple rounds of showers, last week’s weather was relatively mundane. What will this week’s weather bring? The same thing, but even dryer! Like last week, there are a few shower chances but overall no real weather “events” to talk about. Since there’s no rain to predict, I’m down to forecasting clouds. Trust me, it’s not very exciting. This week, however, will feature some of summer’s best weather to date! Overall, it will be warm with plenty of sunshine.

It’s been dry around here. In fact, with little to no rainfall expected this week, we will end the month having received only about 30 percent of normal August rainfall in Philadelphia. No need to panic about a drought yet but the Fall had better bring some rain.

Weather forecast for the riverwards

7-day forecast for August 26 – September 1.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be absolutely perfect. Each day will have highs in the lower 80s with low humidity and ridiculous amounts of sunshine.

Saturday starts a warming trend but we stay dry with a few more clouds in the sky in the afternoon. A late afternoon shower can’t be ruled out but don’t plan on it.

Sunday has clouds to start the day with a slight chance of a shower `but like many of the possible rain chances this month is no big deal.

Monday and Tuesday are essentially the same weather-wise. Both bring back middle-of- Summer heat with rising humidity. Yep, time to sweat again as we start a new week! Dang. There’s also a small chance for a shower both days too.

The weather winner of the week is Thursday; the weather loser is Tuesday.

I’ll be watching Tropical Storm Erika as it tracks over the Bahamas later in the week and, of course, monitoring any potential impacts our way. Stay tuned!
