“Good but not great.” That’s the weather theme this week. Unfortunately, this week will feature flashes of last week – the cloudy, cold and wet malaise we all hated. It will, however, also feature the glorious sunshine filled warmth we all enjoy! It will be a tale of two weeks; one that starts off warm and nice but then degenerates a bit into a more cloudier and cooler regime.

The best chance for rain and thunderstorms is Friday morning, but we also have decent rain chances late on Saturday and Tuesday during the day. I do not see a big storm that sits over us for days like we experienced last week. However, cool air from Canada continues to drop down and dirty up our Spring. The Sunday to Tuesday time period will be on the cooler side; you need to keep the jacket handy still.

Wednesday and Thursday will both be nice days with sunshine. Temperatures in some places will get to near 80. It will feel great after last week’s horrible weather.

Friday is a wet day as showers roll through in the morning and may linger into the afternoon. It won’t be a cold rain at least.

Saturday features plenty of sun, with temperatures popping back into the 70s (near 80 some places). I expect dry weather for the afternoon, but we need to watch for a band of showers and thunderstorms in the evening after 8pm.

Sunday and Monday usher in a cool weather pattern as “cold” air drops in from the North. It’s pretty unreal to still be talking about air masses moving down from Canada this time of year, but the weather has been nuts anyway. It will be cloudy and cooler both days with temps in the 60s.

It stays cool on Tuesday, but we also add to the mix a storm coming up from the South that could bring a period of steady rain. Ugh, yep, that ugly weather is back!

The weather winner of the week is Thursday; the weather loser is Tuesday!
