Last week we ended the weather regime of summer and got a taste of cooler, fall-like weather on Sunday and Monday. We also got the rain we needed — almost 5 inches worth. Any chance of a drought is completely gone. This week will feature a warm start and a cool finish. As is often the case, the warm and cool weather will be separated by a cold front that comes through on Sunday.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the weather’s transformation to fall. Soon we will be experiencing bright sunshine with cool breezes and crisp moonlit nights. Football is back and pumpkin pies are soon to follow. The leaves will start to change colors too. Overall, fall is looking to be warmer and drier than normal.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday look like great weather days. They will still feel like summer with temperatures in the mid-80s but won’t have the extreme heat and humidity.
Saturday will be the better of your weekend days. It will be warm in the 80s with sunshine.
A cold front with showers will come through on Sunday ending our 80-degree weather and knocking us back into the 70s for Monday and Tuesday. Monday could also feature some showers and drizzle. The bottom line though is early fall-like weather coming at the end of the week. I’ll take it.
The weather winner of the week is Friday; the weather loser is Sunday.
