Accu-Reggie—September 23

Last week’s weather was nearly perfect: High temperatures pushed past 80 almost every day, humidity was low and our nights were cool. This week will start on the same note but then take another step toward fall.

The forecast this week is tough, really tough. There is a storm developing across the Atlantic that will bring the Carolinas rain. The big question here is how far north does the rain come? If it comes far enough north, Friday to Monday would feature very cool temps (60s and 50s) with rain, showers and drizzle at anytime. Yuck. On the flip side, if it doesn’t come north, Philly stays dry and we just have some clouds to deal with. Of course this huge forecasting uncertainty would happen on one of the biggest weekends in recent Philly history for the Papal visit! I’m placing my bets on us getting at least SOME rain from the storm. Otherwise, it will be cloudy with a cool breeze.

As always, stay tuned to the daily weather updates on Twitter and Facebook for the latest Papal forecast.

Accu-Reggie-Sept-23-02

Wednesday and Thursday look really nice. Highs around 80, lows in the 60s. Weather like this is perfect for a night out on the town.

Friday we will see clouds start to roll in and showers could also develop over the area. Temperatures will trend downward as a result.

Saturday and Sunday will be cloudy with the continued chance of rain from the coastal storm to our south. Temperatures will mostly be in the 70s and 60s. Sunday holds the best chance for a soaking rain.

We get rid of the storm on Monday which will feature more sun than clouds. Finally, we get a beautiful day on Tuesday.

The weather winner of the week is Thursday; the weather loser is Saturday.
