Bluecoat Barrel-Finished Gin Returns to PA Stores

Philadelphia Distilling, known for their Bluecoat American Dry Gin, announced the return of their award-winning Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin, which is slated to hit store shelves by mid-September. Philadelphia Distilling is occupying the former Ajax Iron Works along with the Fillmore.

Bluecoat Barrel Aged Gin is produced by aging Bluecoat American Dry Gin in new American oak barrels for a minimum of three months. The spirit can only be produced six barrels at a time. Distiller Bill Tambussi claims that this process produces a much more complex flavor.

The barrel finishing process enhances the rounder, softer notes and introduces hints of caramel and whiskey without sacrificing juniper or pepper notes. This creates a truly unique spirit that provides an amazingly fragrant and complex flavor.

Bluecoat American Dry Gin is produced using strictly organic juniper berries, adding earthy and spicy tones to the classic pungent pine-tree flavor of gin. American citrus peels and spices are also added, giving Bluecoat its trademark citrusy finish.

Bluecoat Barrel Aged Gin will be available in over 100 Wine & Spirits stores across Pennsylvania. To find a bottle near you, visit their website.
