Cut Clean: Kensington Quarters Celebrates One Year Anniversary

Kensington Quarters celebrated their one year anniversary last night, October 22, 2015. The butcher shop/restaurant combo has solidified its spot on Frankford Avenue as one of the top food destinations in Fishtown. To mark their anniversary the restaurant opened its doors to the public from 6:00PM-9:00PM and served free food to everyone cocktail-hour style. The restaurant was packed, the weather wasn’t too cold, drinks flowed and a band played music on the outside patio.

Here are our photos from the evening:

I asked Owner Michael Paquarello his thoughts on the night. Amid the  bustling crowd surrounded by friends and family, he told me that,

“We’re so happy and excited about the support from Fishtown.”

Opening a new restaurant isn’t easy, and establishing a new brand that a neighborhood accepts is almost an art form in itself. Kensington Quarters has done this with style. It looks like it will have many more anniversaries in the years to come.
