Five busted in Port Richmond Drug Raid

According to Metro, Philadelphia narcotics officers busted a group of drug dealers in Port Richmond last Friday.

The Narcotics Unit was investigating the area around the 2300 block of East Clearfield Street “based on several complaints from members in the community of drug sales and recent shootings in the confines of the 24th District,” police stated Tuesday.

The arrests were quickly met with praise from neighbors and local elected officials on social media. State Rep. John Taylor (177th Legislative District) posted on Facebook that the raid “sends a clear message to the drug dealers that their behavior will not be tolerated.”
