On August 26 police issued an arrest warrant for Miguel Colon in connection to the April 13, 2015 fatal hit and run where he injured 19-year-old woman and killed her two-year-old son. The accident occurred around 7 PM at the intersection of Mascher and Lehigh.

On Monday, August 31, Miguel Colon surrendered at Police Headquarters at 8th and Race. Colon is being charged with Accident Involving Death, Homicide by Vehicle, Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Involuntary Manslaughter and other related offenses.
