We’ve got some good news, folks. Starting with tomorrow’s issue, we’ll be launching a brand new design. You can look for it at any of our distribution points. Where can you find The Spirit? We decided to make yet another map. Here’s a look at all of the local businesses that carry The Spirit in Fishtown, Northern Liberties, Kensington, Port Richmond and Bridesburg. This map can also be found on our info page.

We are a free weekly publication that comes out every Wednesday. Due to the nature of delivery, there is no set time that our papers are due to be any specific location. As always, you can come and pick up a copy at our office at 1428 E. Susquehanna Ave!

Why distribution points and not door-to-door delivery? There are a couple of reasons, really.

First off, The Spirit supports local business. By placing our paper inside of stores, bars and offices around the Riverwards, we encourage our readers to walk into these places, meet the owners and help our local economy grow.

Secondly, we like to promote recycling and clean streets in our neighborhoods. You’ll never see a Spirit flying around like an urban tumbleweed, littering the streets and clogging gutters. We also make sure that any extra papers we pick up are recycled and not thrown in the trash.

Lastly, unlike some newspapers that come to your doorstep only to become your doormat for the week, we know that every Spirit that’s picked up at one of our distribution points is actually getting read. We appreciate each and everyone one of you who pick up an issue week-in and week-out!

Are you having a hard time finding The Spirit, feel like there isn’t a distribution point near you, or want your business to become a distribution point? Reach out to us at info@spiritnews.org and we’ll see what we can do!
