Meet some of the folks who rocked the vote in the 25th Ward, 3rd Division at the Port Richmond Senior Center (3068 Belgrade St.) yesterday.

  • Hank is an aspiring actor, motorcycle enthusiast, and lifetime resident of Philadelphia.
  • He is the Judge of Elections at this polling place.
  • Volunteering from 6AM-8PM
  • Hank felt there was a pretty good turnout, 72 people came from his division at the time of interview.
  • He supported Melissa Bailey because he wanted to “Shake things up.”
  • Hank believes one of the best ways to encourage voters is to get your friends to vote.

Ian Nieves

  • Ian believes firmly that it is our “birthright as an American” to vote, and that we need to “exercise that right.”
  • He is a registered Democrat but will occasionally “cross the fence for a good Republican.”
  • Ian has faith in Millennials, but encourages us to remain enthusiastic and not lose steam over time.

Paul Kiser

Port Richmond Polling Places 6

  • Paul is lifetime resident of Port Richmond.
  • He wonders “where does this apathy come from” in regards to why people don’t consider it necessary to vote.
  • He dared me to ask any politician about what’s below the city and questions the stability of the infrastructure.
  • Paul was supporting Tracy Terry for City Council At-Large.
