Police Searching for Man who Robbed Kensington Deli


The East Detective Division is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect who robbed Yum Yum Deli in Kensington.

The suspect entered the deli located at 2031 E. Huntingdon St. at 7:48 AM on Friday, September 18. He approached two employees, a 67-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, and brandished a gun while demanding money. The woman working at the deli gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect then forced the employees into the rear of the store before fleeing on a bicycle. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 30 and 40 years old, around 5’10”, clean-shaven, with a medium build and a dark complexion. He was wearing a black du-rag, a black shirt and pants.
