Somerset Neighbors for Better Living (SNBL) and the New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) have teamed up to bring Kensington the Somerset Community Day & Health Fair.

The event is happening on Saturday, September 12 from 11 AM to 3 PM starting at 2801 Frankford Ave. The event features a number of activities designed to promote healthy living, including health screenings, a healthy homes workshop, sign-ups for free sidewalk planters, a boxing demonstration, an opportunity for residents to apply for public health benefits and more.

The event also features a wide array of entertainment options. There will be concerts on Frankford Ave starting at noon as well as a mural painting at the rail underpass at Frankford and Lehigh. Residents can participate in this activity that will beautify a key neighborhood corridor.
