South Philly Bar Opening New Location in Fishtown

According to Philly.com, Garage, a renovated auto-shop turned beer and food oasis in South Philly, will open a new location on the corner of Frankford and Girard this spring.

The new location will feature a food-cart style serving area backed by a full kitchen, a change from the current location at Ninth and Passyunk, which has no kitchen or house chef. Skee-Ball, pinball and billiards — the bar’s main entertainment — will be coming to the new place as well.

Garage North, as it’s being called currently, will open in the space that used to house Penn Treaty Market, the convenience store now located in the next space over. The new bar and its flagship are owned by Jason Evenchik, partnered with Josh McCullough, Sal D’Amato and Terrance Leach. Evenchik also owns Bar, La Casa de Tu Madre, Time, Vintage and Heritage, which is located in Northern Liberties.
