On Saturday night, gym 143 at Temple University’s Pearson Hall was broken into and vandalized.
According to State of Philly, several mirrors were smashed along with a television, and wall mats were defaced with marker. In addition, the floors were covered with a chemical substance and chalk powder.
Brandon Laush, Temple’s director of Strategic Marketing and Communications, told Spirit News on Wednesday that Temple police are still investigating the incident in which five apparent juveniles entered Pearson Hall. The vandalized gym is currently utilized by the Coed Club Gymnastic Team and Temple Men’s Gymnastic Team. According to Laush,
“Police are reviewing surveillance footage and working with local schools to identify those believed to be involved.”
