Watch: Hoagie Bandits Use Sandwich As Bait For Robbery
Philadelphia Police are looking for three people who robbed a Kensington deli on June 29th, at 8:30 in the morning. The suspects (listed at the bottom of the article) used a hoagie as bait in their robbery.
According to police, a woman (suspect#1) walked in to Uceta Market (2975 Frankford Ave.) and ordered an unidentified kind of sandwich. Turkey and cheese, perhaps? Anyway, an employee at the market, a 20 year-old female, met the apparent customer at the front of the store and told the hoagie-craving woman that she was unable to make her order at the time.
Suspect #1 demanded the sandwich be made and the deli worker complied.
When the sandwich-maker went to the rear of the market to fulfill the customer’s demand, suspect #1 went to the front door to let suspect’s #2 and #3 inside.
While the store employee was distracted, doing her job and making the sandwich order, suspects #2 and #3 went behind the counter and took out an undisclosed amount of money. When the deli worker noticed the suspects stealing from the register, they took off in an unknown direction.
