Thompson Street resident and budding photographer Kristen Kuzowsky knew she had a ham of a son in James when he started to belt out the Happy Birthday song when mom was taking pictures of him and his twin sister Kennadi on their 3rd birthday.

When James held the last note and threw out his arm and closed his eyes like he was collecting applause and bouquets of roses at his feet as he performed at Radio City Music Hall, Kuzowsky snapped a photo of him.

Little did she know that millions of people would get to see her natural born entertainer. Kuzowsky entered the photo in Hallmark’s “Life Is Funny” greeting card contest in April 2011 when Hallmark customers were invited to make funny birthday cards featuring a photo from their lives.

Kuzowsky entered the one she snapped of James crooning and wrote the caption, “Happy Birthday to Yooooooooooooooouuuuuuuu!”

The card and the kid turned out to be one of 39 winners nationwide and will be featured for sale in Walmart stores beginning in September 2011.

Hallmark judges looked for cards with funny photos and writing that worked well together and could be sent to many different people, all the cards featured the photos on the cover with a witty caption inside.

Kuzowsky and her husband James, a Philadelphia Police Officer do not know if they have the next Broadway star on their hands but they both enjoy seeing their twins discover new things and both babes constantly make them and their Thompson Street neighbors laugh (and applaud).
