“Ain’t Nothing Personal, Give Me The Money” — Said Robber After Ordering Chocolate Frosted Doughnut in Kensington

Philadelphia police are looking for two suspects who robbed the Dunkin Donuts at 532 West Lehigh Avenue in Kensington last night.

According to police, two men walked into the establishment around 6:15PM. The first suspect arrived at the counter and asked a cashier for a chocolate frosted doughnut. The suspect handed the employee a $1 bill as payment.

The Dunkin Donuts employee then turned her back to the suspect to facilitate the order. When she turned back around to hand over the doughnut she was met with two guns pointed in her direction and a request for something more.

The employee told the police that one of the suspects said,

It ain’t nothing personal, give me the money. “

She handed the register over to the bandits, who took out all of the cash before exiting the building in an unknown direction.

This kind of sounds like last week’s sandwich heist where a suspect ordered a deli worker to make a sandwich before three people robbed the place.

After doing a bit of research it seems like this isn’t the first time that this Dunkin Donuts has been robbed. In fact, it’s the third time in the past year and half that this particular location has been hit.

Surveillance cameras caught the robbery on film but it’s unclear at this time whether the footage is available. We reached out to the Philadelphia Police for the video and will update this post if and when that video is made public.

For now PPD needs your help finding  the following two men:

  • Suspect #1: Black male, light complexion, about  5’10 with a thin build wearing a black hat, black shirt, tan pants, black sneakers, little facial hair, wearing glasses and armed with a gun.
  • Suspect #2: Black male, dark complexion, 5’8’’ thin build, wearing a white shirt, blue hat, blue jeans and also  armed with a gun.

Update: Philadelphia Police released the video of the robbery. The footage shows that the two suspects also stole an armful of munchkins.

This town, man.
