Former NoLibs Destination Maternity Warehouse To Get Dolled Up For Newest Venture

The 220,000-square-foot former Destination Maternity warehouse in Northern Liberties has some cosmetic changes planned–strike that; a full makeover.

The owner of the property in Alliance Partners HSP out of Bryn Mawr, Pa., plans to spend $60 million to convert the frumpy warehouse at 5th and Spring Garden streets into a sleek and sexy creative workspace.

The artsy, ultra-mod new moniker for the future corporate campus: SoNo.

Alliance Partners HSP, LLC–a real estate investment and operations company, most recently focused on redevelopment in the Philly suburbs–purchased its first Philadelphia property for $14 million last fall, and has mulled over what to do with it since.

Alliance Partners Managing Partner Rich Priveldi said in an interview with Philadelphia Business Journal that their redevelopment plans will be unique and achieve an edge over competing corporate real estate, providing just the right fit for just the right intended audience.

“We feel really good about this,” Priveldi told PBJ.com. “This is not a building for everybody but on the other hand, if you like it and want it, it’s not like there are five of them to chose from.”

Renovations are expected to be completed by the beginning of 2017.
